Great BBL was rushed, and who wants a rushed BBL?
Emily Henry, Great Big Beautiful Life: reviewed
Emily Henry is the patron saint of romance novels, and I bow at the altar.
Firmly establishing herself in the genre’s Hall of Fame, Henry crafts delicate love stories with depth, personality, and gumption. They’re witty and charming but also believable, without succumbing to the tacky tropification so many of her contemporaries peddle.
Instead of a yearly juice-cleane or yoga retreat, I’ve picked my poison: an annual read of an Emily Henry novel. These aren’t just books, they’re soul-food.
And so I say these words with trepidation and regret, as an EmHen enthusiast: Great Big Beautiful Life is a Great Big Mess.
